saw this brought up on another site; any expirence with these:
apparently some are less durable than others, but how would you test a cheaper one to see if it works? I have several bldg. access badges, I guess I could try that, but I'd want to be positive before I just assume they're protecting my other cards. amazingzon has them from $10 to $60 for a basic men's wallet |

This. I have building access badge in mine and I has to be in full contact with the reader to work. No more proximity. |

Then it's not RFID blocking! I have to completely remove mine to get into work with my card. ... It's a Machine Era Co. Wallet. Mine is OD green.. they discontinued it, and now only make gunmetal, black, and brass... not brass color, solid brass. http://cdn.blessthisstuff.com/imagens/stuff/machine-era-wallet-6.jpg Awesome construction... they're milled from a solid block of aluninum.. and this makes me smile.. http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0133/7012/files/handwheel_2048x2048.jpg?3376 http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0133/7012/files/Dial1_2048x2048.jpg?3352 As long as this side is out, it completely blocks RFID. I'm not affiliated with these guys whatsoever, but have carried my wallet happily for over a year. Quoted:

You just can't beat American and British made machines from the 40's and 50's. We're always amazed to see these complex machine tools still in perfect working order, holding tolerances of +/-2 thousandths of an inch; even after pumping out thousands of B-52 parts during the war. It's an inspiration for us. We can't help but ask the question- "Can products like this be made again?" http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0133/7012/files/handwheel_2048x2048.jpg?3376 http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0133/7012/files/Dial1_2048x2048.jpg?3352 As long as this side is out, it completely blocks RFID. Not to hijack the thread but I have a set of their shot glasses and their little key chain multi-tool...excellent workmanship. |

Ridge Wallet. I read about them on here and decided to to try one out. Best wallet ever! I have a Ridge wallet. I also have a Gunbox, which used RFID tags as a method for opening. Even with the RFID tag on the outside of the Ridge wallet, it still blocks the RFID signal. |

Get those little sleeves that they hand out at the badge and pass office with a new CAC. Store your RFID enabled cards in one of them, use whatever wallet you want. AMAZON LINK
Or you could stick RFID enabled cards in the microwave for 1-2 seconds. DISCLAIMER: I am not liable for you doing something stupid. |
