I am in the market for a set of new weather radios for work. All of our old radio shack have bit the dust.

I need the ability to turn off all alerts but a select few.

SAME functionality for our county.

Battery backup build in.

Ability to sound a all clear.

Any sugestions

I have been looking at the Midland WR300 but some of the reviews are making me doubt that.

What about the Sangen CL-100

another maker for your consideration....I have a Reecom R-1630 and WR300.... don't have an all clear function, but I like that the Reecom has a simultaneous audio announcement of the alert where the WR300 just the alert tone, and the announcement must manually be actived...both have AA backup and SAME technology... this particular model Reecom does not have the AM/FM the WR300 has, but there is a model that does.. they are in different areas of the house, but I perceive a slightly better reception with the Reecom

I doubt there is such a thing as an all clear function.  If there is it can't be trusted.
