I saw these on a 4x4 forum, and they looked pretty interesting. Looks like a good way to get unstuck, and they fold up really small, which is what I like. Has anyone used them before? If not, I ordered a couple of them and will report on if they are worth a damn when I get them. In the sand In the snow |

That's pretty sweet... I can definitely see the utility in that...
FWIW, wood ash is an amazing tracking enhancer... sprinkle a little on ice and try to slip around on it, it works very well. The road near my home goes uphill fairly steep right out of my driveway. If it's snowy/icy often times we can't get going after pulling out. Occasionally it's so bad that we end up down-hill from our driveway and can't get back in... wood-ash to the rescue. Sprinkle a small amount in front of the driving wheels and it's like you just put a miracle glue on the roadway...

Quoted: Interesting, been looking at some thing like this. Looks like the company is located just down the road from me, might stop in and take a look. Mine are supposed to arrive on the 30th. I'm gonna try and take them up to the mountains to test them out when we go snow tubing.

Maybe I should have a sack of it in my truck for winter hunts? |
