Evening Fellas,
Well I shed some serious poundage and I am in need of a new hardshell - I am currently selling my tad gear raptor (which I love), but being a 2xl it's way to big on me now.. I need something in size large and would prefer something in a fde/brown color... I love the event fabric and this would be an all around hardshell for winter layering and humid summer rains.. Any suggestions? I've been looking all over the place for some solid reviews... would prefer under 250$ price tag... Thanks brothers. |

I saw this one on sale at Cabelas, looks pretty good for the price.

| I have a Gamma LT (I think) in LG that I got half off last year. It's a great jacket if your active and dont need insulation. I have one of the TAD insulated coats for colder days or when I'm not as active. I think the new version of mine is the Epsilon AR, but I'm not 100% certain. They do have an athletic fit (ie 8 or 10 inch drop), which is why I got it. |
| I bought an eVent jacket from REI last year. I paid less than $200 for it. It is light weight, comfortable. I have been in some pretty serious rain storms with it and not one single drop of water has leaked thru it. Superb jacket for the money. I think it was called Shuksan Jacket. |

Arc'teryx or go home.
I have an Alpha SL Hybrid. The thing is bomb proof. Any high wear areas are reinforced. Every seam is welded. I work for a textile manu. and can will swear up and down on the impeccable craftsmanship. I own technical wear from Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear, Marmot, H&H, and North Face; none come even close to Arc'teryx. |
