Can anyone ID this jacket Ronnie Barrett is wearing? It's from a documentary called "Snipers, Inc" where they showcase Barrett's company and the company's operations. Also, a lot of testing of the Barrett 50 cal rifles.

It's on YouTube, so check it out. Search "Snipers, Inc" and its a 40 some minute video.

Anyways, I'm hoping someone can ID this jacket and where I can purchase it.

Thanks for your help!

What is the fleece that attaches to the inside of the parka?

Could someone link me? Or link me to a place that sells the parka and fleece combo?

It's just a goretex shell, nothing attaches to the inside.. For insulation you would layer various cold weather fleeces etc.

The fleece is the bomb, pretty warm for its weight.

What's your honest opinion on the jacket? Worth the money? Or is there a better jacket for colder temperatures in the same price range?

I like the earlier gen woodland better...had a different "feel" to it and the lining seemed better.

You can find good deals on them.  They work pretty well.

They gave me one to wear. I bought my own, better shell in UCP instead.

Bound to get flamed by some...but what exactly gives the impression this would be a good jacket to buy in the first place? My honest first reaction was, "Wait has this guy completely missed the past 100 years of lowest bidder jokes directed at gov't acquisitions, and the last 10 years of evidence that UCP is effective in zero environments (beyond gravel pits and ugly couches of course)?"

The ECWCS shell itself...as pictured...is not for colder temperatures at all. Its a shell. Meant to stop water and wind. Nothing else. It is only effective for warmth in that you won't be wet or feel the breeze. Actual insulation has to be provided by another piece. There are a million better jackets out there, and there are certainly better patterns if it is camo you are wanting.
