I just busted the zipper on my current ACU 3-day pack. This is alright as I needed to change it over to multicam anyways.
SKD has a good looking eagle for $155. I would also most likely get the add-on side pouches.
What are some alternative options?

I'm also looking for a multicam stuff sack for a sleeping bag.

Very pricey, but the Mystery Ranch 3 Day Assault is very nice and totally customizable.

I have the BVS version and it is bar none a great pack.

Not sure if it matches your needs, but I got one of these when they had a 20% off deal a while back. I haven't wrung it out yet so I can't really give a hands-on review yet. The one thing I have found so far is that it is big enough to pack too much $hit into...

I've been looking at the Eberestock Little Brother, I haven't bought it yet , but it might be something to check out. Or either the X4 HiSpeed or the X3 LoDrag with scabbard.

Amron carries the Kelty MAP3500 in multicam now.

I took a CB RAID to Iraq, an ACU RAID to Afghanistan, and will take a MC RAID II on the next trip(next month).  The RAID II seems better made than the RAIDs, but it lacks the inner mesh pockets.  I bought it from Supply Captain(site looks to be down currently), which tends to be a few dollars cheaper than SKD.

All are highly customizable packs.

I have used the Eagle III with the side pouches for over 5 years now as my main camping pack, for trips three days to a week with no problems whatsoever with it.

This is what I use.
It has lots of molle straps for adding pouches.

Would it have killed them to have put a bit of PALS webbing on that thing?  Would be nice to be able to attach some MOLLE stuff to it.  Otherwise, it looks like a nice pack.

The issue Medium ruck is an excellent choice. I was in the same predicament recently. That was my choice.

Look into granite gear. They make excellent multicam stuff and compression sacks.

Had one.  Real average IMO.  How much weight do you need to carry?  There was a MR 3DAP on the kifaru forum for $200 a couple days ago.  Also, any Kifaru is always a winning choice.

Hands down Gunslinger II from Eberlestock. Only pack on the market that can canceal an AR and also be able to "draw" the AR while pack is still on you back.

I have the Elberlestock X2 in Multi Cam. Use it for hunting. Its very comfortable and have carried loads up to about 50lbs in it.  Its fairly low profile when you want it to be and expands abit.  I have a Mystery Ranch stuff to, but like this X2 the best for a small all day long hunting pack for long hikes.

I have this pack. It is very well made and a good all 'round pack. Just wish there was more molle on the sides and maybe some molle inside the main pack.
