I have received my LCI MWC's and am curious what the consensus is on how to sterilize them for storage. Should I rinse them with a water bleach solution, store them with a higher concentrate of bleach for a couple days before the normal water storage?

| I have 'several' LCI MWCs. When I rotate out the water (annually), I pour out a little less than 1/2 of the water from one of the cans and empty all the rest. Add a, ounce or so of Chlorox (yea, its a little strong) replace the cap and shake the snot out of it. Then lay the MWC on its side for 10 or 15 minutes. Then flip to the other side for another 10 or 15 minutes. after that, pour the contents into the next MWC and repeat. After you empty the first MWC just fill it up with tap water and seal it. |
