I have been looking for a cheap grease pot for a long time. These have been the cheap pot of choice with the ultra light backpackers. Kmart is now carrying them, they are $7.00...

I've been trying to find one myself for awhile...must be a regional thing or I'm looking in the wrong places.

What aisle did you find it in?

My grandma always used a small 4 cup peculator coffee pot, easy to use the basket for the strainer, and has a nice handle, pour spout, and lid, not to mention doesn't look bad sitting on the stove.
Keep an eye out at good will stores and yard sales if you want a good deal on one.
I got her a nice stainless one with a wood handle a few years back for $2

Mason jar with a strainer (handle chopped off fits inside) works well. You can even use the lid to close it.

Nice find OP

You cook in a mason jar ?

The pictured grease pot looks exactly like the one Wally World use to sell, which I have and they do work well for backpacking.

It was near the pot and pans, in the isle with kitchen utensils. It is called grease strainer by Essential home. I seen this in two different Kmart stores.
