Is #11 a Goldwing as in Honda Goldwing? Did you get a free bike? Well... not free per se... However... I got that from a friend in May. The back story on this is that he called me up one morning in February at about 0600, in a panic, "My bike won't start! There's n power!!" I mumbled "check all the fuses, including the main one. Call me later" and went back to sleep (I normally sleep from about 0230 to 1030 or so) I didn't hear from him that day, so I called him back the next day. "Didja fix it?" He sez "Issue resolved, I bought a new bike. Wanna buy the old one?" Having had a 'Wing previously, and knowing them inside and out, I said "Sure. How much?" - he sez "how about $400?" I sez "Sold!" Months go by (end of May). I go out to visit (he lives on the complete opposite side of the Phoenix area from me) and I decide to check it out. I look at the voltage at the battery - about 12.5vdc - at the hot side of the main fuse, 12.5vdc - at the cold side of the fuse block, 5.3vdc - I undo the screws for the dogbone fuse and it crumbles into about a dozen pieces. "There's your problem!" - I replace it with a blade fuse and holder, turn the key and hit the starter. It starts right up. No choke - no nothing. His wife comes out "It works?!?!?! What was it??" - I show her the pieces of fuse, and she turns (I wish I could package that look) and sez, "you bought a new bike because of a fuse?" I rode it home that day. |

I have been accused of being cryptic a time or two... I swear, it's not intentional!
@zedhead I used MS Paint @Everyone else There was a guy that posted on here a while ago about wanting to clear out a storage locker. Some guys said they would be interested, I was the only one that showed. All this stuff was free. And I keep finding more cool stuff as I dig through. There's a bunch of black hawk hellstorm tactical gear. BDU's. Goggles. Doo-dads. This, that n' t'other too. I'm really very pleased. I opened the lanterns, and they were brand new. Never been assembled. Still had the original factory packing n' such in place. A nice pair of minolta binocs, a so-so pair of bushnell binocs, a power adaptor for my ipod, 3 zippos in good condition. It's like Christmas in August. |
