With gas at 6 lbs per gallon I don't think they'd be real easy to handle .

The description says it's a softdrink and juice drum.... not sure how it would handle gasoline.

More suited for water storage, I think.

Its my understanding that gas will break down the plastic in these containers. I dont have any experience with it myself. Ive been reading up on the same thing.

The final word in petroleum storage:  55 gallon steel drum.
Teflon O-ring the cap, 6 coats of paint on the top and bottom seams, then a few layers of duct tape over both bungs.
Finish with a plastic bag over the top.

I am really trying to find something in the 15 gallon size. I know it would weigh around a 110lbs but it would still be manageable.  Any ideas?

get some 16 gal "mini drums". paint them red and your good to go. can be had for free from most body shops. they are for lacquer thinnner so they are clean and rust free when you get them.
