Does Garmin have a good system that will allow me to plug in a 10 digit grid? If so what model and how much?

I think any of the common handheld units can be set to UTM or MGRS. You start off at about $100 for a Etrex H and go up from there. I believe Garmin has downloadable user manuals on their website for all their models.

My $99 Garmin eTrex H can be set to either MGRS, UTM, ot Lon. / Lat. It's the low end Garmin Model so the more expensive will do it too.

As the previous poster said go to their website and you can download the Instruction Manuals for their various models to see the capabilities of each.

I've taken a Garmin eTrex Legend all over the world and have waypoints from Sulawesi, Indonesia to Port au Prince, Haiti on it. When I was in Iraq, we set up routes to travel by plugging in a list of 10 digit grids for ERPs and then stringing them together. It's very easy to do, and the Garmin MapSource software makes it easy to manage.

I had tons of waypoints from Afghanistan .... navy customs made us wipe our Garmins for "opsec" (lols?)....fucking bastards never even checked it.  But they were serious about shit, they arrested a guy from the cav squadron ahead of us for having 1 5.56 round buried in his gear.

I found a piece of 5.56 in my gear after I got back to Ft Hood and washed my gear for turn in  It made it through the xray machines and full cock scanners too.  It was my "this is for me" round that was in the tiny side pocket of my canteen pouch.  I forgot it was there when I replaced that one with a frag.

I used an eTrex Vista but IMO it slowly stopped working aswell as it did (too forever to get signal when it used to be quick), etc.  It still sorta works though.  I need a new one...It is beat to hell and back though...scratches EVERYWHERE and all the rubber is cut up and falling off.
