I've been on the hunt for a edc flashlight and found one on Bug Out Gear that looks good. Problem is I've never heard of ITP. Are they good?

I was looking at http://blackforce.stores.yahoo.net/a3eos.html (sorry can't make it hot from my phone)

Its 2.5 inches long and runs AAA.

I'm just catching up on my reading...

iTP focusses on making affordable lights that compare favorably to higher priced brands, and deliver value for the dollar.

I have 2 Maratac AAA lights from CountyCom,  they are iTP lights based on the Eos 3-mode.
Have one in AL and another in SS.  They are great little lights.   The SS version is a bit heavier, but in such a small format,  it's not like the weight is going to a problem.  The stainless version feels quite robust.

If you are only going to buy one, and have a few extra dollars,  try the Maratac AAA in stainless steel.

ETA: OP, that is the original ITP EOS- one output mode. Cheaper, but you lose useful medium and low modes.

ITP EOS "upgraded" and Maratac AAA have the same guts. I lost my maratac and am ordering an ITP to replace it. IMO the ITP has a better body design because you can attach a regular split ring instead of the cheesy wire piece that broke off my Maratac 10mins after I got it out of the package. Like an idiot, I tried carrying it by the pocket clip. Lost it after a couple days. I lose everything unless I tie 550 cord to it....

Maratac: $22+$8 from countycomm. Knurled body, shitty ring attachment, can tailstand.
ITP EOS: $20.50+$4 from going gear. Slotted body, better ring/lanyard attachment, cannot tailstand.

ITP also makes a stainless version, $30.

BTW, on the maratac models, you can replace the split ring attachment point with a 1/2 inch snap ring, from the hardware store. Much stronger attachment. The holes for attaching a split ring are a bit on the small side though.

And I love my Maratac AAA. It replaced my Fenix LOD (older p4 model) as my EDC. Brighter, and more spill. makes a great headlamp attached to my hat.
