Totally hooked on them. After using MIL canteen cups for years, you will go crazy over these things. TJ |

Yep. Had one for 6-8 years, at least. They seem to be around $8.00 locally (middle TN).
Have picked up another one or two at garage sales for $1 or so. IIRC, some of the newer GSI cups are a wee bit too small for the 32 oz Nalgene bottles; I know a Coleman version I picked up at a yard sale is; be sure to test fit! The only thing I don't like about them is they're a little unstable on an Esbit stove, even when it's folded in a bit. I addressed the problem by driling 4 holes in the stove (beneath the interlocking tabs) & running steel skewers through, to make a stable "grate" on which to place the cup. Much more stable, sits closer to the flame, & allows using other, different cups/pots with greater ease. My son likes making tea in his when we're camping. David |
