| Just received my new from Ebay LMF II knife in Army Green. What a solid piece of gear. I've checked them out at Cabelas but handling it now impresses me again how beefy and no-nonsense it is. Will be a permanent addition to my Level 2 belt kit. Thanks for those who have recommended these knives on the forum for a great call. |

here's a pretty good write up: knife test
^ is a good reason I own two and will prob pick up more along the way... |
| Yes, the thing is a beast. Very stout blade for the length. Not too fond of the snap loops that hold the grip in the sheath, will likely loosen up a bit with use. I also wasnt too confident in the Molle strap and snap, decided to sling it on the actual web belt in my load-bearing belt rather than use the Molle fasteners. |

With the 15% off code PRESIDENT at the top of the LA Police Gear page the price is $59.50 + shipping. It is not a bad price if you ask me. Thats a great price. That's where I got my 2, (1 for my brother and 1 for me). I love the knife, Another good deal at LAPG is the Gerber Prodigy, LMF IIs smaller brother. It's about 3/4 size of the LMF II; it appears to be just as rugged and as sharp. The only thing it doesn't have is the integral sharpener that the LMF has. Merlin |
| I lucked out and got mine brand new for $54 delivered off of Ebay. The box had a Sportsmans Warehouse price tag still on it for $90. After playing with it I sure wouldn't hesitate to pay the $60-70 retail, or even the full $100 if I really had to have a knife of this quality. What I like is the very beefy blade similar to my trusty old Kabar but slightly shorter. The small Kabars don't have the same heft as these do. |
| Lost my seal pup elite in a tragic boating accident , no joke ,fliped my kayak in the river and had the seal pup strapped to my seat adjustment strap and somehow it got pulled off when I was righting my yak. To replace it I ordered a LMFII because I couldnt decide between it and the SOG the first time . As far and a survival knife goes the LMF beats the SOG IMHO , the LMF is more of a tool where the sog felt more like a weapon ...if that makes any sense . |

I havent dont anything with it since receiving it, just been sitting in a box until I have to turn in the rest of my ALSE kit. After reading that link you posted I might take it out next time I run off into the mountains.
