I was wondering what kind of every day carry pack you guys use.  I have a Maxpedition fatboy I use mostly but I was thinking about getting a more traditional backpack pack for variety and if Im going to be out longer.  Also the fatboy can start wearing on my back if I wear it a long time since its pulling more to one side.

I also have a Blackhawk cyclone but that is a little bigger than I want for EDC and I use it mainly as a patrol pack anyway.  So, what do you guys recommend?  Thanks

I go smaller. I use this pocket pack that fits nicely in all my thigh pocket shorts (and pants when I wear long ones)

It carrys a ton of small stuff that has been very handy.

Here's mine, pics are pretty self explanatory (but ask if you want clarification on anything):

Left inner pocket/loops:

Right inner pocket etc

Right side med bag

Right side bag 2

I don't really need to carry a big bag as I work from home and I'm almost never farther than 50 feet from my truck (with other bigger/better stocked bags) or my home supplies. This small thigh pouch carries a lot of crap in one easy to grab spot.

Looks like someone's been shopping at CC.

I usually carry a pain jane school backpack.  Nothing special, but I've been toting it around for 5-6 years or so.

I just transferred my stuff into a County Comm B.O.B. from an el-cheapo school backpack I've been using for a few years. Got rid of some stuff (mostly ways to make fire, and I think it's a lot more organized now. Got my school stuff, work stuff, and "stuff" stuff in it, with a little room to spare.

I just picked up a Camelback M.U.L.E. at Cabela's on sale for $29.99. Lightweight and has room for basic essentials plus I'm a big fan of hydration carriers. Take a look and see if it works for you.
