This filter is very lightweight and pumps REALLY fast.

I was able to get 4 quart bottles pumped in 4 minutes.

My climbing partner and I used this filter as our only filter for the last 10 days in Washington's Alpine Lakes area and could not be happier.

By the end of the 10 days it was starting to slow down (took more effort to pump) but a quick cleaning sped it right back up again.  It takes 21 pumps to fill a quart bottle.

The MSR clip-in lids are REALLY handy, I only had one, but I'll be picking them up for my other nalgenes later today.  They expediate and clean up the filtering process.

This filter gets a huge 10/10 from me.  Light, fast, compact, and easy maintenance!

Dang. That's fast. I think the Hiker Pro is 42 pumps/qt.

That is pretty quick. The Katadyn vario is quick as well , and hooks up to a nalgene easilly as well.

The hiker-pro won't be as quick at all - it's a lighter duty filter. I still use my older PUR version of the hiker-pro , just replace the cartridge as needed.

I haven't really been sold on the newer ultraviolet purifiers yet. batteries in the backcountry open the door for failure when you're counting on it - and they work at about a quart/90 seconds. But I am looking forward to trying one out , it does make sense for some scenarios.
