IMHO it is a damn good knife for the $. Quite possibly the best value out there in a non folder. |

I use it in the field vice a KaBar or Fighting knife.I love it.The only drawback to it is drawing it out of the sheath.I'm glad it locks securely for when I fast rope,but when you need it asap,pulling it out of the sheath is kind of a pain in the ass at times.I will say the draw gets a little better after a while though. It's a good trade off though since I don't really engage in any Steven Seagal or Jason Bourne style knife fights.I use my Ninja sword for those

For a little bit more or less you can get a Ontario with a 1095 blade, a micarta handle with a nice nylon sheath. I've had a couple Gerber's myself and haven't found them to be very good even though they were pocket folders and not the LMF II. Ontario/Randall's |
