I'm looking for a place online to buy wool blankets. I've seen some swiss ones on Ebay but I was hoping to avoid them. Any ideas?

I have Swiss ones I bought from SG years ago and I love them but I think I paid less than $17 ea for them.

Recently I purchased a pair of these from CTD just to check them out and the are very nice blankets and very good quality. The ones I got were basically brand new, unlike the Swiss ones which all had a lot of dust embedded in them.

We had a pretty funny thread here a couple months ago concerning swiss blankets, one catalog had them for $298. SG was all out last time I checked. I grabbed one off of ebay for a decent price a couple months ago from proudmama5795, blanket showed up quickly, and appeared to be brand new. That seller doesn't have any right now, but I would add her to my watch list, in case she has any more to sell. I will buy more from her again.

I've got a couple of the Italian wool blankets from CTD.  I am very pleased with them- they used to sell for under $10.  They have some sort of moth proofing on them that smells a bit strong so you have to air them out then wash them, but they are much higher quality than the standard US green blankets.  I'm guessing the ones they have now much be stronger smelling judging by the comments; I just aired mine out for a day on the line then washed it.  I keep one on my bed , one in the truck and have two in storage.

+1 to the Italian wools from CTD.

I have 3 of them and 3 US surplus wools.  The Italian ones are nearly 2x the weight of the army greens. Very nice!
