Just an FYI, I looked at the images of some of the anti-biotics on the Kraft Drug site and using drugs.com was able to match the ID numbers of the anti-biotics to pharmaceutical manufacturers that are legit and make and distribute around the world, including in the US.  I did not open any bottles to check, don't want get into them.

If you think about it from a logistics standpoint, it costs them more to make different versions of the same drug. It would be unwise business to change the tooling around just to make a run of fish specific medicine, when the people version works just fine.

Thanks for looking into it.  I’m still looking around for some reviews of kraft specifically, everything I find is for the Thomas labs ones which are way more money.

1.  Store in cool, dry place, leave in original sealed packaging.
2.  Check out this thread and get the books on Amazon.  I used Alton's Antibiotics and Infectious Disease Book and personal knowledge and experience.  That book is a good starting point to build your knowledge base.

How much are you looking to stock?

I got enough Amox and Doxy for a 30 day cycle of each for 4 people, all Thomas.

When I was looking up Doxy for example, there must be at least 12-15 manufacturers.  So, there is a wide variety.

I have a lot from Kraft, I found that Flagyll/Metronadozle is cheaper as is levofloxacin from Payless.  I got basically test samples from Payless to check them out.  I especially wanted to check Levofloxacin as I wanted to get that over the Cipro.  You can get 200 Levofloxacin 500mg for like $60 in case you have really sick fish.

I think both are great, no issues with either.

Levofloxacin 500mg 200 tablets for $70 shipped.  Sorry, it is $70, not $60, was going from memory.

Azithromycin 500mg 120 tablets for $120.

What would you consider an appropriate amount of antibiotics in case things get really bad for the fish in your tank?  Say, maybe like five or six fish?

-Sulph/Trim. 800/160mg 200 pills
-Clindamycin 150mg x100 and 300mg x50
-Cepjalexin. 500mg x371
-Amoxicillin 500mg x350
-Doxycycline  100mg  x630
-Metronadozle/Flagyll. 500mg x200. 400mg x15
-Levofloxacin 500mg.  x20
-Cipro.  500mg.  x25
-Azithromycin. 250mg. x30. 500mg. x3
-Fluconazole. 200mg. x10
-Gentian Violet. a couple of bottles.

You put it in their mouth and give them a drink of water!  That, or drop it in the fish tank.

I've used fish antibiotics and they have saved me from a hospital visit twice.

The watchout with these is with Tetracycline products as those after expiry degrade into a chemical that can cause kidney damage.

Pinkeye in humans is typically treated with eyedrops not oral meds so not sure how one could treat a goldfish with eyedrops, my last ophthalmic antibiotic eye drop was for Tobramycin/Dexamethasonesusp 5ml

If my goldfish had pinkeye I might be more inclined to try this Tractor Supply item:

Terramycin

Terramycin Opthalmic Ointment with polymyxin B sulfate is indicated for the treatment of superficial ocular infections due to oxytetracyline and polymyxin sensitive organisms such as keratitis, pink eye, corneal ulcer, blepharitis in dogs, cats, cattle, sheep and horses. Also, ocular infections due to secondary bacterial complicatons of distemper in dogs and bacterial inflammatory conditions which may occur secondary to other infectious diseases in the above species.

Hi
Unfortunately we only take orders through our site which is currently getting updated your state isn't the issue, very sorry for the inconvenience
