or Rothco what is the best you like and how does it hold up ??? |

What is the intend application? What do others in your unit/team/office use?
I believe Rothco's branded stuff is all cheap, consumer-grade stuff that would be fine for paintball or casual wear, but not for anything serious. I'm a supervisor of a federal LE unit and generally we source custom-made items from manufacturers that give us good customer service and good quality. The only brand that you listed that we use is Propper, and that's only because it is what we are issued and use around the range or for light training. For regular training and operational use in the field, trial and error has taught that custom-made items are the only way to go. I was fortunate enough to establish a good working relationship with a gear manufacturer when I served in a military unit with missions that dictated custom and sometimes even mission-specific gear...if you are early in your career, you may want to cultivate a similar relationship because it can go a very long way in the future. |
