Hello, I bought a katadyn carbon cartridge for my sawyer bucket filter and sawyer squeeze to improve taste/remove chemicals. The carbon cartridge came with two packets but Im looking to stock up on more. I was looking at this website http://www.buyactivatedcharcoal.com/activated_charcoal_water_filter And there is alot of different options does anybody know which is appropriate for a water filter/human consumption or all they are pretty much the same? Thanks! I just use the stuff I get at the pet store for my 75gal salt tank's power filter bags and I wouldn't have any problem filtering potable water through it for an added benefit. I have a Brita pitcher and it's just activated carbon--not doing a whole lot of nasty stuff removal, but improving the taste. Now which activated carbon brand is better than others, I can't say, but I wouldn't spend much time on it and look to price per ounce, or something like that. Chris |
