Last winter I got my tech license for ham radio. I also took notice of how unprepared we were for certain situations (involving the cold/weather).  So I grabbed Spring and Summer by the balls, stocked up and became better equipped and now I can't imagine being more prepared except for a lack of a functioning BOL...that's still in the works.

Over the winter I plan on doing some work around the house.  If funds allow I'd also like to pick up a small/light weight dual sport bike.  That will let me get around obstructred roadways where my current bike (cruiser) wouldn't.  Plus I can carry it in tow for a spare vehicle on trips/vacations.  Also have to plan out a new garden for the spring.

Other than that, not much planned.  Although I'm sure I'll see someone mention something or read something that interests me in another thread and turn it into a project.

How about you?  What's on your agenda for the winter?

I'm going to work on my Technician license.
I started to over the summer months, but couldn't get it in before they changed the tests.

I've got the new tech and general license manuals coming as we type.

Work on collecting the remainder of materials for fencing the garden in. Its 3300-3500 sqft and will have 5 ft 14g welded wire fencing around it, 3 gates. Permanent rows for easier maintenence and early spring use. The plastic fence and tposts wE had made it two summers. Not bad since the posts are near new. And will be reused another time.

Complete design for pig pen and pasture layout. Then collect up every thing I need and be ready to set posts come thaw.

If I'm not broke after this it'll be getting materials needed to put in the hand pump well between the garden and orchard.
