Anyone read the book or heard of it? Just watched a video of it and read book reviews...interesting stuff.
|
| I have the eastern US/Canada volume. I have read it and corresponded with the author. I have some life experiences that dovetail with things mentioned in the book, and one of my current employees came from USFS and has told relevant stories. A guy I was in the Guard with was some kind of NOAA LEO and had his share of experiences as well. Very very highly intriguing. |

Reviews state that people cannot go outdoors with the same mentality after reading the book. Also curious as to what the author believes is the culprit. It also seems highly implicit that .gov knows what it is and wont say. |

I was reading or watching something a while back about it, and I got the sense he thought it was Sasquatch who is taking the people.

I've got all three books.
Missing 411 "Western U.S. and Canada" has more intriguing/mysterious/creepy stories than the other 2. Missing 411 "Eastern U.S." is a good read. Missing 411 "North America and beyond" is a good read, except for the last couple of chapters. |
Wait, is this a Bigfoot book?
Bigfoot does not exist. Period. Ever wonder why in this age of every-fucking-body, to include small children, having a cellphone camera no one gets a photo?.....or one of a UFO? Back in the days of shitty 110 cameras pictures galore....but smartphones with 7 megapixel cameras AND video? Nada What ev
Edit: as an LEO I've seen dog maulings.....like nothing you have seen before. Wild animals can maul the shit out if you.....doesn't mean Sasquatch is real. |

We just had a thread on this either in this section or general discussion, it might be in the bigfoot thread in general discussion I guess. Book is cheaper on his site, amazon was high priced. Book is still not cheap, 20 ro 25 bucks a book I think. I'm more curious about the coverups and density/frequency of the missing than Bigfoot |

I'm more curious about the coverups and density/frequency of the missing than Bigfoot I read (it may have been in the GD thread that biere mentioned) that he doesn't mention bigfoot anywhere in the books. I'd bet a majority of the missing are due to mountain lions, especially the children. |

Many of the missing are found, alive or dead. The circumstances of those found dead are sometimes bizarre. The circumstances surrounding many of the small/young children found alive defy reason, logic or belief. Read the books. |

To start with, I like the bigfoot thread and similar reading. Love the creepy story thread as well. I know I would like the books, I have just been slow to cut loose of the money for them. Reading excerpts of them where available or researching stories online does raise a lot of questions. I tend to lump the government's reaction to odd things right in with how colleges don't always really report the true date rape statistics for the college since that might look bad when some newb is researching where to spend 10s of thousands of dollars of money for a few years. |
