Quoted: The deal I'm looking at has a bunch of different kinds. Quoted: Quoted: What kind of meat? The deal I'm looking at has a bunch of different kinds. Well that's not that easy. $.99 a pound sounds cheap. Honestly I dunno... maybe someone who knows WTF they are talking about can help us out. |

Try The Freeze Dry Guy . He's reliable, reasonably priced, and ships quickly! I've bought from him for years without disappointment!

Most people, if you ask, can't tell you what a gallon of milk or a pound of hamburger sells for. You gotta shop around to know the going prices are.
In this case, there's not a lot of options, so it's kinda of a case of how much you're comfortable spending. But I'd stay away from the Wise brand. I've not read any good reviews on it ever........... |

I just wish I knew what a standard serving of certain meats went for. |

The best deal I ever saw was this past fall, LDP had 52% (IIRC) off of list price for MH stuff, including their FD meats. ETA: That sale price isn't normal -- I've never seen it discounted like that before. About once a quarter they have ~25% off list. |

What did that bring it to price per serving if you dont mind me asking? |

You could go by price per ounce, per 100 calories, something like that? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile That'll be what I have to do when calculating how good a deal it is. Most of the makers vary in serving, between 1/4 to 3/4 a cup. Just have to figure it from there... |

So I found what seemed to be a good deal at Costco, problem was their serving size was 1/4 cup, so compared to a 3/4 cup serving, the price averaged out. So it seems like $1 to $1.50 for a 3/4 cup serving is about the sweet spot. Anyone know of a place that gets closer to $1 per 3/4 cup serving? |
