Does anyone have any experience with the Bushnell Solarbook? I'm debating between it and the GoalZero Guide10 plus.
I'm still leaning towards the GoalZero for weight and price.

Thanks.

I just ordered the Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus off of Ebay for $80.00. I haven't even received it yet, it should be in next week. As soon as I get it, I'll throw some feedback out. The price is what helped me decide. It should be fully capable of charging the things I need charged, like my phone, tablet, and AA batteries.

This is what I plan on getting in a few months.  Now the cheapest I'd seen the Nomad 7 and the Guide 10 battery pack was over $100.  Any links where you found it for $80 shipped?

Thanks

i emailed bushnell for the details.

they are in another thread here somewhere. basically it's a rechargeable lipo <non replaceable> with what appears to be a 5 or 10wt powerfilm panel depending on the model. they look decent but ONLY for charging a small usb based device. USB ONLY

i have a guide 10 panel and charger. they work well. the power book would be great IF the lipo was field replaceable. as it is you more or less toss it at end of battery life.

Let me know if he turns you down and I'll shoot him an offer for $70 or $75 so maybe he'll rethink your offer.

That sucks. I'll probably stick with the GZ. Thanks.

yea that was a big rub for me too. iirc i calculated the onboard lipo at around 3600mah for the large one and around 1600 or so for the standard. it's good for a small usb device but that is about it. the output on them is 5v usb only also which really limits them for anything other than devices.

if you need to power a smart phone, tablet or gps, and it's something you would use normally they look good and the price is certainly right on them. if you plan to store it for shtf use... not so much.

I have a gz guide 10 package. I prefer my instapark 10w panel. It give more power (will charge a ipad) 2 usb slots to charge 2 phones, yada yada yada...... Same price as the gz nomad 7 that comes with the guide 10battery pack.

How would you compare them in terms of "ruggedness'? I'll be using them in the backcountry.

Thanks.
