Is there anyway to get Prussian Blue short of begging for a prescription? If not how does one go about asking, I wouldn't mind having some doses on hand.
How much would be a good amount?, how is it dosed, and administered? How exactly does it work? |

OK I found it in powder form, but how do I actually use it? How is it prepared? What's the dosage, and how often, for how long? |

Quoted: Quoted: I thought that was the name of a white supremacist chick band? Yeah, that's what I was expecting when I opened the thread It's actually a pigment used to treat heavy metal poisoning, presumably in a post radiological attack or accident scenario. I'm curious to see where this thread goes, I'm not sure treating this to a successful outcome is something realistically achieved in a shelter-in-place scenario. I would expect the support infrastructure of a hospital would be required. |

If you can avoid eating contaminated food after a dirty bomb or nuclear attack, it's probably unneeded. If the area you live in is contaminated with cesium-137 the correct answer is going to be "move" not hang around, shop the local farmers' market, and take a sequestering agent.
Google searches for "drugname site:rxlist.com" will usually give you a decent broad overview of any drug. Start here - http://www.rxlist.com/radiogardase-drug/indications-dosage.htm http://www.rxlist.com/radiogardase-drug/side-effects-interactions.htm |

This one is way out there. Not one stocks Prussian Blue for post nuclear bomb conditions. The exposure to Cs137 will be spread over a wide area, unlike accidential contamination or even a dirty bomb. Plus prussian blue isn't all that effective, it results is a biological half life one one month (vs 2 months w/o treatment. And Cs137 is just one of dozens of significant isotopes.
It's a good drug fro the SNS, but not much use to the individual. |
