Danner Arcadia's are great boots. Do yourself a favor and try something, before you spend $100-200 on boots.

I put  a specific brand of insoles in mine. I said specific, because not all insoles are the same and I have feet issues and I know my insoles.
I have used all of the different ones and they are all awesome  http://www.shop.energelinsole.com/

I have the semi custom inserts from Sole heat them up then place them in a boot or shoe stick your feet in and they mold to your foot. I'm thinking I might need to buy a pair for each boot I own. I loved the Arcadia's when I had them in the Marines but the other day they just killed my feet to walk in them. It was the feeling like you went on a long hike and after hiking for around 10 miles you sit down for a few then you get up and your feet feel like there burning.

Ive had custom insoles from my podiatrist and these work better.   BTW try the thin ones http://www.shop.energelinsole.com/product.sc;jsessionid=B6C804B3EDAC19A82930D5EC68AC9730.m1plqscsfapp01?productId=2&categoryId=1  in your Arcadias before giving up hope.  They will give you enough cushion without cramping your toes.

I have danner acadias, great durable boot, heavy though, but rugged.  My preferred boot is the Blackhawk Desert Ops boot, comfortable, great traction, and very water resistant (at first).  Only think about the Blackhawks is they have about a 6 month wear out life, that is under extreme heavy duty use (mountains of Afghanistan, grunting around in the 10th mtn div).  Not many boots survive that kind of hard use much more than 6 months anyway.  But you can take these boots right out of the box and walk 25 miles with little to no blisters (also know this from personal experience doing so).

Go sign up on Danner's clearance website:
www.hitthebreakroom.com
Free shipping free return 1 or 2 sales a month on there.

I literally have boots for life from Danner. They have a personalized link on there once you sign up (give them an email address) to get a instore $20 credit. I won't post mine here but I've bought all my friends Danner boots using instore credits.

I bought some not a bad price. It might be that my inserts are going bad because my feet hurt with my old boots now also. I'd also like to find something more light weight then the Arcadias
