I know another post, but I'm off for a few extra days and looking for different ideas on different things.

A lot of you may be doing this already, but I never thought of organizing under the bed storage like this.

I finally got the vid to play silently.

There are lots of things that can be done with the space under the bed.

You can build a bed frame that is tall enough to allow tote containers to be placed under the bed.

Old thread from archives.

In college it is common to buy some cinder blocks and put the bed up in the air a bit.  Lets you slide foot lockers and other large items under the bead easily.  And as a young and dumb kid at college we may or may not have had fun seeing who could push this to the limit before the thing fell over eventually.

The house I rent is built over bare dirt I guess.  It is so old I doubt a real vapor barrier was used or would have held up this long anyway.

Anyway there are vents to let air in and out of the crawlspace.  The floor is some type of wood from way back when with carpet or linoleum over it.

Now the part with linoleum has much better venting so I don't worry about it much.

The part with carpet is the oldest part of the house and I use furniture with legs on it for the most part because something like a big piece of plywood on the carpet would not allow the carpet and floor to breathe.

I move stuff around fairly often to clean anyway and once I realized things did better on legs I went that direction with my furniture and what not.

Everyone needs to consider their options and do what works best for their environment.

I keep some odds and ends under my bed but no way am I going to lay down a whole sheet of plywood or something.
