Or so it seems. Well, woke up to another 3" of snow this morning, been in the 20's all day, and the highest it's been in over a week is maybe 40. Well, just listened to the forecast, and all they call for is cold, and snow, with a nice storm of heavy wet snow come Sunday
I'm slowly beginning to get pissed. I still have a half tilled garden plot, which I'd like to get ready to plant some cabbage about the end of April  . Not counting the rest of the garden, looks like I might get to plant by July 4th I was hoping to start some seeds end of this month so they would be ready to plant mid-May, well, I don't think that's happening

Ja! Same thing here in Ireland. Last year we werent using jackets and coats anymore by now, heck we went to the beach around this time last year. Now, we're getting snow this weekend.
Something's very wrong, the end is near!!   Just kidding, summer is supposed to be nice after nasty winters, so I'm looking forward to it. Crappy start though.

| Ha, same here. Woke up to -18 this morning. We had -26 one day last week, where as last year we had days well into the 60's or more in March. But i think its getting better, this weekends lows are gonna be 15 or so! thats goos, cause the firewood pile is getting low |

Seems like a normal spring down here on the corner in NC. Put 250 miles on the Goldwing Sunday riding in a vest and T shirt.
Been 30's overnight and mid 50's for days since. The usual March weather. Surely am lookin forward to mo' regular warmer, tho'.  d:^) Schneeks.

| We got our first real day of winter weather here in the WA Convergence Zone today. At least, since I've lived here. Its a nasty ice, snow mix. Road are usually clogged with fog, rain, and foggy headed liberals. Throw some ice in there and I predict a WA state of emergency. |

Last year at this time, the farmers were starting to work on their fields.
That was about a month earlier than normal. Today the frost is still about three foot down. Planting will be late. I hope there is enough seed beans and seed corn available, designed for a short growing season. I'll bet farmers are talking to seed dealers right now, changing orders and trying to figure out what is what. ...and, we're about out of firewood. In a few days I'll have to turn the furnace on. Oh well, at least we can still use the furnace to heat the house. |
