Have any of you tried these?
We can quite a bit and it looks great, kind of hard to choke down that price though. It defiantly fills a need at our house. I'm not affiliated in any way, you can find the quite a bit cheaper online although still not cheap. Jarbox |

Someone had a thread at one point about making their own vacumn machine so they could make such an item themselves. They just posted about it with youtube video I think, I don't know if they ever updated it. I have a lot of canning jars and the original cardboard boxes are long gone. I plan to make some wooden crates this winter that are sized for canning jars but will be useful for other stuff as well. That is just going to be the size I pick since I want to make several of them and if I want to move the jars it becomes easy to move the jars at that point. As mentioned some cardboard or cloth between the jars will keep them from rattling or potentially breaking. If in earthquake country I would just keep the normal shelves and put something along the front to keep them from falling forward. I rent though so I am always somewhat wondering about the best way to move stuff. I keep a lot of rice and beans and other odds and ends vacumn sealed in canning jars so I want to make some basic wood crates to hold them. I also want the education I will get from building some crates and trying to make them identical and well built and what not. 100 dollars will buy a lot of plywood along with something small for putting along the inside corners as a brace. I have a circular saw already but might buy an air nailer along the way. So I would rather go my direction than the direction they are offering. If I constantly had to transport some jars I might think about it but I still can't stomach 25 bucks for those. Maybe they would be nicer in person. One thing about wooden crates, they are sturdy and take abuse and if built right can stack ok. |

Curry needs to learn about camera focus, and posing, and such stuff so he is not so blurry while trying to market whatever product he is promoting. Those look like a neat item. I can see that I might like something like that in earthquake country or as part of the RV stash. Do the case halves snap together or just touch? |

I have nothing to do with the company or even know who owns it. I post on the canning thread in the homestead forum and someone else brought them up. The more I looked at them the more I thought it would solve a storage issue for us. It seems like it will. I wish they were cheaper. Here is a Link to the thread where I learned about them.
We store the rings on the jars. Not tight at all. We have 500 or so rings. It's easier to keep them with the jars. |

that would be great if you transported your jars or if you lived in an earthquake prone area.
A milk crate with some cardboard between jars works too. Just dont steal the crate, Brother. I love this place! HUMONGO, PM Nice, I'm two chairs from the east. |
