Don't have one but it sounds useful for $15.

I wouldn't put fuel additives in my new genny tho...

Mine fell over a while back when it vibrated off a slab and tipped, really made a mess.

In my opinion, that little tube is worth it's weight in gold

I'm sort of freakish about maintenance, and one thing that always chapped my ass about changing the oil in the eu2000 was having oil spill inside the plastic outer enclosure-it really, really drove me nuts. No matter how careful I was I'd still spill some.

The other two items that are standard equipment on my eu2000s are the Honda anti-theft bracket and a SenDEC hour meter/tach. The bracket isn't going to stop a determined thief, but hopefully it will buy you enough time to get outside and deal with the dirtbag.

The screw-in oil spout is good, and well worth it for the money. I am also partial to the magnetic oil cap they have... it collects any metal shavings on the end of the oil cap to keep them out of the system.

The ultimate I have found for oil changes, in all kinds of small engines, is an oil extractor. Sucks the oil right out.

The kit effectively parallels the AC outlets from one genny to the other.

A simple suicide cord with std plugs on each end to each genny would work fine as long as no one touched the prongs when connecting it.

Of course at your own risk.

I'm fairly certain that they ship with a small amount of oil in the crankcase...though I can't remember for sure.

While I haven't done this to either of mine yet, I do know someone who installed a small petcock on his fuel line. He accesses it by removing the side panel. However, you can drain the carb easily with fuel in the tank-there is a set screw under the carb bowl attached to the piece of fuel line that vents out the side on the lower left of the access hatch.

Although EXPY will undoubtedly give me hell, my eu2000 that hasn't been converted to tri-fuel (the one in the video above) is stored with a full tank with Pri-G added. So far so good

I've put small fuel filters with a sintered element in the second 2000 a week ago and actually took pix for a topic.

I need to post how to do it but am overloaded at the moment.

Think the issues I have with them is more a dust related thing than anything related to the fuel because as soon as I clean the carb they run fine for an indefinate time maybe months on same fuel until they start surging at idle and then it's just a couple minutes to blow out the carb and OK again.

I'll slowly pin it down... We don't run them for long periods since we got solar, just to run a microwave or this and that, briefly. Sometimes one of them not at all, just fails w/ surging when I randomly test it.

If I can't pin it down, I might try some additive [yes I have some Stabil].

What I'm talking about isn't a shutoff, but a drain screw under the carb bowl attached to a piece of fuel line that vents outside the housing

A small petcock/shutoff would have to be added after the fact-but it's a $10/ten minute project if desired.

Slice, I'll post pics later tonight if you can't find it on yours. At the moment I'm helping a co-worker install a pellet stove in his new house, as well as adding a circuit to his load panel to power it.

Actually, the off/on switch on the EU2000 also shuts the fuel pump off......however, after having had to learn how to break down the carb and de-varnish the jet and other parts, I have learned to run the unit until dry.

If you don't really want to be forced to learn about the inside of your carb, you may want to consider getting into the habits of both running the genset dry and also draining the floatbowl as CJan_NH refered to.

What I'm talking about isn't a shutoff, but a drain screw under the carb bowl attached to a piece of fuel line that vents outside the housing

A small petcock/shutoff would have to be added after the fact-but it's a $10/ten minute project if desired.

So it has a fuel pump and not just gravity feed ? I was thinking it was gravity feed and when you closed the gas cap vent it wouldnt allow it to continue to feed the card and the set screw was to drain any gas allready in the carb......for 900 bucks, they should have put a shut off on it
