[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Best Light Stick

Who makes the best Cyalume/ Light Stick? I need some 5 minute and some 12 hour.

I want some quality ones with as long a shelf life as possible.

Suggestions?

I use the cheap knock-offs and they are fine. I use them and they last about 3 years before I start having trouble. I order them from extreamglow.com and they are .20 cents or so. I keep about a 100 or so on hand Red and Greens 24 hour ones.

Cyalume sticks have always worked well. I useally order them from SKD or 1000bulbs.com

Read a story that you DO NOT want mil-spec ones, they Mil-spec is old technology and isn't as good as industrial. Just what I remember, YMMV

24 hour glow sticks? Can't find. Link please?

I had Cyalume brand stored for 10 years and they still worked! I've still got some, I'll go crack another one and post a pic, I bought them from Shomer-Tec back in 94.

I have used a lot of the ameriglo... good stuff. Orange is brightest.

I use the 4, 6, and 14 inch sticks from dollar general. The small ones are a great buy at .50 each.
