My buddy  looking thru the Craigslist FREE section and ran across an ad that said FREE MIL SURPLUS. It had an address that seemed familiar to me, so I pulled up some shops on the net and sure enough, I knew who it was and where it was. So, I called them (ad was placed at 11:30am and it was 2pm now), they said they still have stuff, My buddy went right over. I couldnt get over there as I was tied up. I told him take everything and anything and we will sort it out later. There was ALOT of stuff.

THere was 4 main items, but literally hundreds of the same item.

1) Some German/French flat dress hats, like the Marine Corps Charley unifrom hats. They were all kinda colors. Most brand new some barely used. We figure there are 300-400 of these

2) Next was some used and abused Enfield Slings, there are 70 of them. They arent worth anything

3) Next was some Rhodesian Helmet covers in a camo that is similar to the British DPM camo. There are probably 500-1000 of these.

4) Next was some Belgian Gas masks complete with carry case and brand new unopened filters.

All the boxes and bags in the pics are what was hauled out. lol

Anyways, instead of trying to piece this stuff out, we took one of each item, hit the local Army/Navy store and they said they would buy it all, we are getting .25cents for each hat and $8bux per filter kit. The other stuff isnt worth anything. We figure we'll net about $200bux for just a lil bit of effort. well worth it.

They are too worn to tell. But here is a pic of one of the slings, you can see both sides, one side was painted white. this is one of the better slings, most are ready to break apart.
