I read another thread here recently where someone said "the old lady in the grocery store is a training aid." THe premise was that you react immediately when you see anything happen. I.e. you move to help the old lady in the grocery store who drops her bread, instead of waiting for someone else to do it. I watched some videos online that show someone collapsed on the ground, and literally hundreds of people walk by without trying to help.

Here is a real life example: http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/article/20111220/NEWS01/312200012/1006/news01

Richardson expressed further disappointment with the 20 or so people, including two or three adult school staffers, he said, who stood around and watched the attack without trying to stop it.

“There were a lot of people there,” he said. “They just stood around and watched the whole time.”

It's a good thing this quick-thinking young man was there, or this may have turned into a murder on video, as he said some of the people standing around were recording the incident on their cell-phones.

What a world we live in

Merry Christmas,

Chris

I saw that one too. Shocking as well. I feel like I can't relate to the thought process of that particular Chinese culture, so it's harder to draw a comparison. I better understand the incident in America, so it's easier for me to parse the mindset and be completely disgusted by it. Both are horrible. It makes my resolve to train to react even stronger, and my desire to prep even stronger than ever.
