So I live in a small house and the wife isnt too keen on me keeping my preps kinda where they are now.
I have a 4' crawl space under the house that I can use as my prep storage, think canned goods, water I can keep boxed goods in big pelican type cases or hell even in 5 gal buckets I guess. Get some pallets to get stuff up off the ground in case of water or something. do you guys see any drawbacks to this? I can build another shed in the Yard but the crawlspace thing warmer in the winter than a shed in the yard?

If you can keep them cool (er) and dry (er), I'd make the most of the crawl space. Domestic tranquility, (or lack there-of) will kill you quicker than starvation.
Don't overlook the underside of staircases, the underside of the 'ol coffee table. (you can build a pull-out box that's easy to move during vacuming)
The rear of closet doors can facilitate 50 cans of veggies if you're handy with a hand saw and a screw gun.
It's really all about how much beer you're willing to consume while you're looking around to stash your preps....The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

I keep some disaster preps in our crawl space.  Both of ours sound similar 3-4' high and dry most of the year.  I store most things in buckets or wrapped in plastic.  Extra camping gear and a few tarps, some canned goods, etc.  I'd be hesitant about storing any fuel in there though, lamp oil, or even propane canisters, too dangerous for vapors to build up.  My biggest issue is the access window limits the size of things.  I need to make a trap door from the house floor.
