After jerking around on craigslist looking for a decent used generator, I'm resigned to the idea that I might as well just buy a new Champion. Who has the best prices?

Keep an eye out for sales at Gander Mtn or Tractor Supply, they often have the 3500/4000 for $279-299ish.

Lowes and Cabelas carry them, as well. My son got his last Summer from Lowes for $279 and came with the wheel kit.

I don't think the sam's club model has 220v output, but rather 110v only. The one I got from lowes has a 220v plug plus a digital volt/hour meter. I paid $299 for it. Dont forget to use the coupon you can get from the post office change of address package.
