Hey all, after coming up with nothing with a search, thought Id query the masses on what you have or would download to a Kindle. I got one for my birthday and its time to fill it up.

So far I already have several books, Where there is no Dr/Dentist. Lights out. Army survival guide,What else do you recommend? Links would be nice if you have them.

Thanks

First three things I put on mine were the Constitution/Declaration of Independence/Bill of Rights, The Federalist Papers, and the Anti-Federalist Papers. Each of them is less than a buck. Oh, and Paine's "Common Sense".

As obvious at that would be... I never thought of it. Where did you get them from?

Thanks.

Manybooks.net has all three of those works, plus thousands of other public domain books, in every ebook format, for free.  The Kindle3 is a nice device, but you don't need to be dependent on Amazon for your content.  There are lots of free and legal ebooks available on the web, and the best way to get that onto your Kindle is the Calibre library management software (also free).

Lots of files available at http://www.shtfinfo.com/shtffiles/. Look under Historic Documents for those. If you use Mozilla and DownloadThemAll, you can grab all of the files on that site pretty easy.

Google-Fu...

Read the part about "Transferring Files Via USB"

You will want to first convert the files to PDF format (if they aren't PDFs already).
