| So I got a sweet deal on craigslist. I picked up 6 20# propane tanks for $60. That brings my total of 20#ers up to ten, which give me more or less 40 gallons of propane. How much time burn time am I looking at to run a camping-type propane stove with that amount of fuel? |

Not to be a ass, but it's like asking how much gas will my car burn with 40gal of fuel. We don't know how you cook (for how many people), what you are cooking or what kind of stove you're using. Everything from Coleman stoves to turkey fryers have different BTU's which causes either a frugal use of fuel or the stove being a gas hog. How long does a tank usually last when you are grilling? You can guesstimate from there. That's the best answer anyone can really give you other than my own personal experience using a old 2 burner Coleman stove with propane adapter, we were able to cook breakfast, dinner and making hot chocolate at night for two people using maybe 1/3 of a BBQ tank during a 4 day campout.
Far to many variables you are asking to give a decent answer. |
