| I'm considering either picking up the EE One month MRE supply or buying a couple cases of the mil mre's. Anyone have any experience with Emergency Essentials or have any input in which would be better? |

on the reviews it says you get about 1850cal/day. That is 1850/3= 617 calories per meal.
617 calories x 90 meals = 55,500 calories total 55,500 calories/ $300 = 185 calories per dollar. MRE = 1200 calories per meal. 1200 calories x 90 meals = 108,000 calories total 108,000 calories/ $??? = ??? calories per dollar How much can you get 90 MRE's for? Realize that 90 MRE's has nearly twice the calories as the other brand. |

Solid company, excellent products. My only complaint is their shipping boxes with "Emergency Essentials" on all sides. no crap.... http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4110/5093095771_f85505a1b5.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5246/5357249065_488695cb42.jpg I offered to pay more to have the boxes inverted.....answer...."can't" I asked them to invert the boxes on my last order and they did it. |

When we first started ordering.....it was a option on #10 can 6 ct cases.....not now.... |

I ordered from them and recieved it last week. Everything went smooth.
I thought the same thing about the boxes. I would prefer them unmarked. I ordered from LDS and their boxes scream "PREPAREDNESS" also. Not sure if this is a trend industry wide, but it defeats the purpose of OPSEC. I would encourage everyone to send EE or any other company that ships this way an email. They seem like an alright company and will probably change if they get enough requests. Here is the simple email I sent them. "I received my first order from you last week. Everything went well and I wanted to thank you. I do have one request I would like you to consider. Is it possible to ship in unmarked boxes? I know this is an issue with other people on some of the forums I visit. Maybe an option could be included. I look forward to my future dealings with you." |

Well that was quick and easy. Here is the reply I got to my email
Thanks for your email. We understand your concern. Please request "unmarked boxes" when you order on-line in the comments section or over the phone. We are able to package in unmarked boxes. Thanks. Sincerely, Scotty Emergency Essentials, Inc www.beprepared.com 1-800-999-1863 Again another company with great customer service. |

The only thing that bothers me about most of the emergency canned products is there is no trace of country of origin. I have called and asked Emergency Essentuals and they do not have any data availble on country of origin. That bothers me.
I dont buy foods (if I can help it) from mexico, china, and several others. I am not into eating toxic foods and definetly not into feedingit to my kids. BTJM |
