I have two of the 60-can Cansolidator racks. Well engineered and customizable. Just wish they didn"t cost so much!

Have the 72" rack with the multiple can sizes that I got on sale at Costco. Love it. Works great.

I bought one last year. It's good quality.  Costco does have a stock unit for a reasonable price  but I wanted a custom shelf order, so I ordered direct. They have frequent sales, so be patient.

Having said that. I found it difficult to find a lot of commercially canned stuff that I want to eat and rotate on a regular basis.  I prefer frozen or fresh vegetables. I ended up doubling up on the the fruits, some canned beans, peanut butter, and a buttload of ready to eat stuff that honestly I don't look forward to eating in rotation. My point is to plan your shelving arrangement and what you wish to store in there before you purchase.

Their pancake mix is tasty!

Their Freeze Dried meats are not too bad either

Anybody ever done a "This Old House" type project and made a version of these out of wood?

It seems like there's a few different ways one could make something pretty similar for a lot less than using scrap wood or a few pieces of inexpensive wood.

FWIW, I bought the resin plastic type shelving system from Lowes  It holds 150 lbs per shelf.  I have a rotation system in place.  One shelf exp in 2011, one in 2012, ect.....  These things are great and affordable.  Avoid the Home Depot one though, not very good construction, wobbly.  Menards carries Plano which is pretty solid.  I have all three, and liked the Lowes version best.  It's 24" deep, plenty of room.
Sorry to pull off topic, just wanted to throw that out there.
