Nice concept, my main critique is that there is too much wasted space with the foam padding.  I have two rifle "toolbox" cases and they take up about half the space that the rifles do in that box and I carry 7-8 loaded 30 rd. mags in each.  That, and none of the stuff on the upper "shelves" is really secure, so if you are worried about dumping the thing over, you'll end up with a horrible mess.  That, and if you are bugging out, you probably won't have your rifles stowed...

Cool storage.  Or maybe for bugging out with a forklift.

I find it to work well as a mobile safe.

Never thought about it before......lining the box with 2 layers of 5/8" drywall.....would give it quite the fire rating.

How did you fasten the gypsum board in there?.......glue or wedge fit?

If you are a bit fabrication savvy.....you could put the thing on pneumatic tires.....that steer......that'd be sexy....

He used liquid nails, then gorilla tape around the edges to clean it up a bit.

This definitely gives me some good ideas, thanks OP.

Got it from Houston Foam.....went to the shop / faciility and asked to see all the different types of foam and sizes.  They actually gave me a little tour of a big place.  The foam itself came in a sheet that was like 54 or 56" wide and IIRC 12' long and they cut it in half so it would fit in the back seat of the cab of my truck.  I think it cost around $70 bucks or so but I had plenty left over and used it on other projects.
