Quoted: I got a Wife today , Really hoping I dont need a backup because they are high maintenance items ![]() Seriously , I got married today to a woman that Ive been dating for 6+ years . She has a good head on her shoulders and is on about the same page as me as far as preps ,politics and guns go . She is very responsible and very good with money (she teaches budgeting as part of job) , but most Importantly she has alot of patience and is willing to put up with me. Quoted: How long do wives last? Why do I see so many people rotate them out? Congrats to you both. This really depends on the quality of the Wife purchased. Some last as little as 6 months to as long as 60+ years. The key isn't whether or not you keep it in a cool, dark, dry place, but if you don't abuse it. Treating it well and keeping it properly maintained will give you years of carefree, reliable use! Well, so long as you didn't get a defective one from the get-go. ![]() CONGRATS on the marriage, man! |

It looks like you really lucked out. Congratulations. They are probably one of the most important preps there is. I hope you two have a long and happy life together.
The model I got has become a classic and only has minor maintenance issues. She otherwise is ready run and still likes to. Even though she is my daily driver, we cleans up real pretty for the weekend If I had to do it all over again, I would with the same women. We are celebrating our 27th on a cruise early next year. |

Congrats.....No doubt about that.
But, I just got to say it. Certainly, the internet was not around when Mrs. Drsalee and I tied the knot, however.........if it were, I can't imagine I would be on the internet on my wedding day. Definitely, congrats though......I believe the institution and however it works for you is good. |

sounds like you've got plenty of happy years ahead.
