Got my wife onboard with CCW. She has taken some handgun courses, has a CCW licenese but has been against carrying. I just switched from a Fatboy versipak to a Sitka as an EDC bag. She started playing with the fatboy, looking in pockets tried carrying it, etc. and liked it. I showed her the CCW holster and where it goes, and asked if she thought maybe that would be an option for her. She wants to use it. I would prefer she carried on her body but this is a big step. I am gone half of every month on buisness and will feel much more comfortable with her out and about with the kids.
Who would have guessed, I assumed the Versipak would have looked too much like a man's bag for her. |
| It was pointed out to me by my GF's metro friend from California.. Yes I as a gun guy, I knew that it was a CCW bag but it shocked me when these people said something about it.. Mike works for the post office though and may have had classes to spot thing like that and relayed it to his wife... |

Go on line with here and find something that is a little less conspicuous.. Fatboy screams "Hey I have a gun" I think about that evry once in awhile. Does it to this group only, or does that carry over to the average individual? To gun people only! I have a guy I go to school with that carries one of they like fatboys with him to school everyday. I asked him if he carries a weapon in it? He looked at me like I had three eyes and said "No where would you put it?" So I showed him. I carry a Maxpedition Vulture backpack all the time that has a few places to place a pistol and only had one person ask me something about it and he was a gun guy who was in the military. Most people don't look at gear the way we do. Some not all police officers would not even know that a fatboy could carry a pistol. |
