Most of this is old news to anybody reading this forum, but still kind of an interesting article:
U.S. Warned of Threat... I know EMP threats are pooh-poohed by many, and I can concede that point when talking about man-made EMP's (nuclear attack, whatever). Probably worse things to worry about than that. But a natural CME/EMP is a different story. It's real, it's documented, and it's gonna happen again at some point. We're now on the upswing of the normal 11-year sunspot cycle, and old Sol has already been kicking up her heels a bit - several large sunspots and CME's over the last couple of weeks. Gonna happen? I dunno... but that's what this forum is here to talk about, right? |

The owner of a house that I have been working at for the last week claims to own this site: www.solarstormwarning.com . Nothing personal against you OR your friend, but my first impression on visiting that site was "crackpot doomer". The info he's presenting may be factual and pertinent, but when you throw it in people's faces like that they're not gonna listen. Just MHO, but if he/she really wants to get their message across they might want to tone it down in a bit in order to be taken seriously. No offense though, really... just trying to be helpful. I do think the sunspot/CME situation bears watching, though. The two websites I look at most are spaceweather.com and NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center at http://www.swpc.noaa.gov. |

I'm not sure why you would think that I would be offended or take what you said personally considering that I stated that "The owner of a house that I had been working at for the last week was claiming something". It's between you and him. Please leave me out of you two's disagreements. No offense though, really... just trying to be clear. |
