I have friend with a Miller Big 40 Generator/Welder.  It runs good but has no output for either the welder or auxiliary power.  The contractor and all apparent fuses are good.  Anyone know where to begin?

KJB, I'd start by flashing the field. A buddy of mine has a Miller Bobcat that had sat idle in his barn for a couple of years and the same thing happened. Once we flashed the field everything was perfect

I'll give that a try.

If you or your friend need a hand building a field flasher let me know

ETA: If the Big40 has a single phase 110V output you can use a corded electric drill to flash the field. You could always make an adapter if you have to go from a twistlok receptacle to standard.

I think a thread on that would be great!
