I'm saving my pennies to do similar things to my 2005 OR.  Only 21,000 on the odo.

It's not a Jeep Wrangler, but it's a very capable vehicle for a decent daily driver/off-roading blend. Unlike a Wrangler it actually has cargo space, better for a BOV.

The OR version has factory skid plates, Bilstein shocks, a rear diff locker and 32" tires. All stock.

Front independent suspension gives great on-road performance but doesn't perform as good as a solid front axle for off-road.

Basically, don't expect it to be a dedicated rock crawler, but it will do some pretty amazing shit off-road.

The only issue with the 2005+ is the weak front diff.

But the 265hp/285 ft/lbs. is nice!!!  Basically a stroked 4.0L V6 from the 350Z.

Looks like a pretty good alternative to the Landcruiser's I've been lusting after :p

Those are awesome, but I'm thinking I would want something a little lower profile if I were truly bugging out. That would stick out like a sore thumb.
