Not much of a first post, but can anyone tell me, or point me to a site that can tell me what FM numbers mean?
I know the first 2 digits are a Major Group, then the second 2 digits are the sub group and the next set of numbers (after a period or another dash) are a subject code. Is there a list or index of what the various codes are? |

IIRC I have a US WW2 period manual - List of Publications for Training - will see if I can locate it
I have a quite large collection of military manuals - and from memory - the numbers etc were just allocted in blocks, unlike the NSN where the NSN stock no. breaks down into specific meanings... IF I can find the book I am thinking of I will ETA this post |
