Found a couple of cans of Turkey Spam that expired in 12-08, gonna go in head first and fry it up with some eggs, can is still vacuum sealed and contents smell pretty good, AAR to follow. (I hope )

Oh, guns, ammo, all sharp pointy things are already spoken for, so no dibs.

Isn't that what started that movie "28 Days Later?"

At one time the official SPAM website listed the maximum storage time of a can as 96 months (8 years).

That information has been removed from there, but I remember seeing it.

You should have no problems.

I thought Hormel says that the shelf life of their canned meat products is indefinite as long as the can is not compramised?

Not sure about that, but I remember the Zombieland outbreak starting with someone eating some contaminated food.

Should be safe to eat, just that it may not be as tasty if you ate it before the expiration date.

Well, so far so good, it was actually still pretty tasty fried with some butter also made up some pan fried potatoes with onions to go along with it, guess we're expecting another foot or so of snow on top of the already 2+ feet we just got, let the grocery stores go crazy I'll stick to my year expired Spam and be happy.
