Murphy's Law exists. Finnegan's corollary to Murphy is that Murphy....was an optimist. So go with ABSOLUTELY basic tools/tech you could McGuyver into something....so Knife or Machete. and flint and steel or lighter. Add a steel pot and large steel spoon and a tarp and suddenly you're golden. Add rope - even better. Lots of stuff is nice - but to fish you really only need some hooks and string. Hunting gear is nice - but to bring down even big animals (in a SHTF situation) all you really need is some heavy ga. wire for a snare. |
