I still want to get a 4x4 / hike going in oct/nov. just havent set a date, maybe someone else could get the ball rolling also. Seems events are getting harder to plan any more. Use to plan them and atleast 1/2 dozen guys would be guaranteed to show.

We will be hosting a campout in Ocala the 2nd weekend in December. Be posting details soon. Not a hike, just a car camp/family campout/meet and greet type deal. It will be about the 7th year there. Usually has lots of (FREE) classes there also. In the past we have had NBC protection, reloading demonstrations, knife defense, primitive fire building, weapons disarms, some medical classes, etc. The range is a short drive from the location also. :)

For hiking, its a bit  hot right now, but a 4X4 event can be done anytime.

Lowdown, are we going to be able to score the same camping spot as last year?  Hope so, its the best.

Mann- if you mean the one we used in April before the shoot/meet and greet then no. This one is a much better campsite, although not near the trail.

This will be more of an "easy" camp spot. Bathrooms within walking distance, actually showers there now also. It's a car camping type deal. Good for the folks that haven't done a hike or truly packed their gear in a distance before. Great spot to do classes and demos though- covered pavilions, etc.

no, I mean the place we used in January.  As a member in good standing of the Old Man Breakfast Club, I have to have decent facilities to work in.  :)

Mann- THAT's the place! Lake shore campground. Dec 11-13th. Folks can come for the entire time, just for the day, drop in for a few hours and say hello, whatever they wish. Will be posting more soon.

Cold, in FL!  Give me a break.  I might be up to no good around then.....I need to do some diving in the Keys.  Or I might hit the CVA -34 Oriskany.....I believe that's off of Pensacola.  I'd be traveling light as far as hiking goes.  Let me know.  Sounds good to me.

Ha ha, that's true

Around here it's bears, coyotes, rabid foxes, and moose...and I can shoot all of those if the situation arises. I'd rather take on a bear than a horde of fire ants.

I've been spending a lot of time in Tampa and Orlando lately for work-just got back a few days ago from Tampa in fact. You guys have flying cockroaches down there! Palmetto/Love bugs my ass! Those are flying cockroaches dude
